First year students: today is the final day to fill out the library survey. Fill it out completely to be entered into a drawing for a $100 gift card! An invitation to take the survey was sent to you via e-mail. Just follow the enclosed link to complete the survey.

All first year Centre College students should have received an e-mail requesting that they fill out a library survey. This survey, titled the Research Practices Survey, provides library staff with information regarding the skills, preferences, and needs of incoming Centre College students.
Academic research is quite different at the college or university level from the research you might have been asked to do as a high school student. The Centre Librarians are here to assist with your research needs and this survey allows us to plan effective services and research instruction sessions.
Take a few minutes to fill out the survey and you will have a chance at winning a $100 gift certificate to your choice of Amazon or the Centre College Bookstore!

Research Practices Survey
The library staff will be administering the Research Practices Survey to our incoming First Year Students starting next week. Students will have three weeks to complete the survey. Each student who fills out the survey completely will be entered into a drawing for a $100 Amazon or Centre Bookstore giftcard.
The Research Practices Survey provides invaluable information to library staff on the research skills, preferences and needs of the incoming students. The survey will be administered again in the spring and this will provide a look at how the skill set of these students has changed, if at all, over the course of the academic year. Comparison data is also provided for other institutions administering the survey in the fall and the spring.
