I earned my B.S. in chemistry from the University of Dallas in 1985. I earned my Ph.D. from the University of Texas in 1990 under the supervision of Marye Anne Fox. After completing my Ph.D., I took a faculty position at Roanoke College. In 1994 I moved to Centre College, where I am currently Professor of Chemistry. I teach organic chemistry most semesters. Some semesters I also teach general chemistry, liberal arts chemistry, first year studies, chemistry and crime, or physical organic chemistry.
